Creating Authentication Policies

There are multiple methods by which an Authentication Policy can be created.

Creating an Authentication Policy with the GCS CLI

The GCS CLI doc explains how to create and manage Authentication Policies for use with Globus Connect Server collections.

Creating an Authentication Policy with the Globus Webapp

The Developers portion of the Globus webapp can be used to create and manage Authentication Policies by following these steps:

1) Navigate to the Developers section of the Globus webapp and click on the project that you wish to create an Authentication Policy for. Alternately, you can create a new project with the 'Add Project' button.

2) Navigate to the Policies tab for the project and click on the 'Add a Policy' button.

3) Fill out the details for your Authentication Policy. Click the 'Create Policy' button once your new policy is configured.

4) If all has gone well, you can now see the details for your new policy in the 'Policies' tab for the project. Pay special attention to your policy’s Policy ID, as you may need this to use this policy with other Globus software or services later on.
